The town of Besigheim sits on an outcrop above the Neckar River. Both the town and the surrounding vineyards are the feature of this hike. Probably best done in late October when the vineyards are yellow and red, the hike covers one of the most beautiful parts of the Neckar valley.

Hiking: Vineyards of the Wormser Heights
The vineyards of the Palatinate stretch across the rolling hills of the Rhine Valley without end. Above the city of Worms are old terraces with the traditional huts once used by the 19th-century vineyard works for shelter. Overall, the hike offers a nice panorama of the Palatine landscape with occasional views of Worms.
