This hike takes you through the ancient city forest of the free city of Hamburg. Annexed to the city in the 15th century, it has been open to the public since the 18th. It’s a small forest of meandering paths and forest idyll.

• The trail starts at Ohlstedt station, located at the edge of the commuter train line from Hamburg. You can reach it by train from the city.
